Match 3 Game

This is a small prototype of a match 3 game inspired by Wario's Woods for the NES. I think it's a fun concept and I would like to revisit it someday!

You control a character that can rearrange blocks by picking them up, and then dropping them somewhere else. You destroy the blocks by hitting 3 of the same shape at the same time using your sword (which is invisible. I never drew sprites for it). Try moving matching blocks close to each other, then swinging at them. You can swing your sword up or down by holding up/down.

Unfortunately there is no automatic difficulty progression, but you can kind of choose the difficulty yourself. Each time the board is reset, a random amount of shapes is chosen. For an easy game, reset until you get a board with a small variety of shapes (minimum is 3). For a hard game, reset until you get a board with a large variety of shapes (maximum is 8). For your first game, I recommend you press R until you get a board with only 3 or 4 shapes. Winning/losing is completely unceremonious; nothing happens. To continue, just press R.
